My life is all about art.
I live and breathe art and design.
I tell people that I was born with
a paintbrush in my hand.
That's how much I love to draw, paint and create art!
I am a Trinidad born,
New York based, artist,
graphic designer, author, poet, reference librarian, blogger, mother, grand-mother, sister, friend, daughter and tea drinker.
I spend at least one hour everyday just doodling or coming up with new ideas!
My Trini roots enable me to appreciate nature and bright colors.
The spectacular designs at Trinidad carnival, and the beautiful flora and fauna throughout the island, have always been sources of inspiration.
As a Caribbean-born woman, I embrace the textures and colors influenced by nature. I incorporate the essence of who I am into all of my work. My photography serves as reference for my paintings and designs.
Art is my passion and I share that in my award-winning book:
The Avocado Tree: An Immigrant’s Journey.
My second book Creativity from Within is a workbook of inspirational poetry, quotations and tips that one can use as a platform for discovering and following their passion(s).
Helping clients to build their brand through brainstorming with them and experiencing their gratitude when their logo, flyer, newsletter or art is done,
gives me great joy.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communications from the College of
New Rochelle and a Master's Degree in Library & Information Science from Pratt Institute in New York City.
