Don't fight the feeling!
Sometimes life forces us to stop and listen.
Here is what I learned, hopefully you can be inspiredand follow these simple tips.
Thank God for your blessings.
Always be grateful!
Start your day off by reading something positive.
Over 50? Act your age (your bones are not that strong anymore).
Work will get done, just not all at once.
If it feels uneasy, don't do it!
Listen to your body (it really speaks to you).
Do everything mindfully.
Practice sitting in silence for at least 10 minutes per day.
Savor (don't inhale) every meal.
Smile more (even at strangers).
Carry less bags.
Call a friend to say hi.
Repay that loan.
Rest, rest, rest.
Back in April, 2 weeks after my solo exhibition, I had a freak accident. The initial shock was surreal, to say the least. I fractured several bones in my left jaw and had to have surgery. Horrifying experience! Sick leave for about a month.I thank God that I was blessed with an amazing team of surgeons. The surgery lasted for two and a half hours and I am happy they took such good care of me.Screws and plates are now settling into their new home, my face.I was unable to eat normally for two months and the pain was too much to endure. Why me? Was the question I asked as I threw myself the biggest pity party ever! After the shock wore off, I made peace with my new way of life and thanked God. I was given a second chance to make things right with him and the Universe.
To say I am grateful is an understatement.Happy to be back on track and to continue creating art and inspiring others along the way.Have a great day! Stay blessed.Roxanne
I love Art! I love being a Librarian! I love inspiring others! Grateful!
When I create, I think about making others happy. All of these paintings found new homes. Their new owners are happy and inspired!
Mission accomplished! Have a great day!

You have a masterpiece inside you, too, you know.
One unlike any that has ever been created, or ever will be.
And remember: If you go to your grave without painting your masterpiece,
it will not be painted. No one else can paint it.
Only you. - Gordon Mackenzie
In this selfie, social media world, it is so easy to focus on trying to get attention from others. Comparing ourselves and trying to keep up with them!I made a promise to myself years ago, that I would focus on my own self development, while inspiring and uplifting others along the way.
When I do post on social media, it is always with the intention of beingan inspiration to those who read my posts.
I use my art and photography pieces as tools to encourage others to find the beauty within themselves. We were all born with a unique gift!
Don't keep that gift buried inside of you!
Share it, first with yourself, then others.
No need to look for validation, just use your gift(s) to help others. Not with the hope of what you get in return, simply what you give.I am so happy that I will have a platform to share my work and inspire others at a month long solo exhibition in April.
If you are in the area, please stop by to view my art and photography!See invitation below! As always, hope that you are pursuing your passion(s)Stay blessed! - Roxanne Catherine
